great. so you’ve listed all closely related medical disorders.. was this supposed to be helpful in some way i missed? or was this everything you put up on the blurry screen?
terrible visuals. sound could use some help too.
VERY informative if you understand the lingo.
So besides the TNF blockers what other better options do you suggest?
@missshebella
Well, although I like and appreciate the tnf-a blockers, they do not really treat the cause of AS and do not actually prevent cell death.
I like the combination of dietary starch elimination and antibiotics; these are certainly better options for AS, specifically. Long-term fasting and fruit monodiets (The Edgar Cayce Three Day Apple Diet, is the best example) are also important tools, but supplementation and doing gut-healing are also very helpful as is basic exercise.
so TNF blockers can be tried at the initial stages to produce some positive outcomes,right?
@nirvanaforsale Of course the biologics should be used in conjunction with diet, although these drugs do not address the cause of AS, they could have some beneficial–DMARD–activity as has been shown in RA.
Some people with AS have been on Enbrel for example more than a decade, combined with their own version/convenient modification of starch-restrictive diet. When eating less starch they take less drug and it has not lost efficacy even without MTX.
Better option (for some): Antibiotics!
i have this disease. starch has something to do with it. i get hemorhoids if eat pizza or potatoes or anything like that. could that be so easy explanation that the bacteria get into blood, i have noticed that very often when i pooh there is blood in the tissue, especially if i eat potatos etc.
