Hemorrhoids Diet

I Recommend: -:( tinyurl.com ):- To improve your diet for hemorrhoids, add foods that contain more dietary fiber. You can include some or all of the following: . .Whole-grain foods (such as bran cereals) and breads (made with whole wheat grains). . .Fresh fruits (including the skin and pulp). . .Dried or stewed fruits (such as prunes, raisins or apricots). . .Root vegetables (such as carrots, turnips or potatoes). . .Raw or fresh vegetables, such as cabbage. (Lettuce is actually low in fiber.) . .Eating bran cereal in the morning is often the easiest way to obtain fiber. All-Bran, 100% Bran, Bran Buds, oat bran, oatmeal and Raisin Bran are some of the high-fiber cereals presently available. Bran can cause rumbling intestinal gas and even some mild cramping, so it should be eaten in small amounts at first. The amount can be increased as the body gets used to it. The goal should be one to two large, soft, formed stools a day. Treatment of an underlying disease can often relieve anal symptoms. Patients who have ulcerative colitis can tolerate aggressive surgical procedures, if needed. It is important to avoid aggressive treatments on patients with Crohn disease, especially if there is acute inflammation of rectal mucosa. Abscesses should be drained as soon as possible, despite the presence of active disease elsewhere. Other dietary rules: . .Drink plenty of liquids, including fruit or vegetable juices and water. . .Drink at least six cups of water or fluid a day. . .Eat

Oct 2011 Colitis Flare Beat Down

In this video, I documented 5 days of meals from the morning until going to sleep. My goal was to stop the colitis flare up and symptoms from getting worse and turning things around. And of course, I am trying to continue medication free like I have been most of 2011. As the week went on, I started to see some improvements in my bowel movements and also a reduction in bleeding. By Saturday after the video, I had a great day (you can decide what that means.) I follow the SCD diet very closely, but if you watch carefully, you will see a minor deviation from the diet in terms of the bacon I eat which contains some sugar which is SCD illegal. more information can be found at www.ihaveuc.com and colitis diet information www.ihaveuc.com have a great day, and I always love hearing from you! -Adam… and yes, I too have UC.
