Hi everyone has anyone ever heard of SCD (Specific Carb Diet) this diet has cahnged my life and allowed me to live a normal life I also have crohns
jaybaluk, I have Crohn’s disease and I’m also on the SCD. It’s a hard diet to follow sometimes but I’ve been off of all medications for over a year now. How long have you been on it?
I had been having symptoms of Crohns since the age of 17. I was finally diagnosed when I was 23. My case is not at all rare. I have it in both my small and large intestines. I’m 37 now and I feel great. I’m on Sulfasalizine and have been in remission for 7 years now.
I’m 22 years old, and have been diagnosed with crohns since I was 16. I have been on remission on and off since then, but this year has been rough. I have had to drop out of two semesters of school, and have lost a lot of weight. It’s been rough, but it’s so inspiring to realize people are going through what I am.
A great place to get help with Crohn’s disease is crohnssociety (dot) com. It’s a site made to help teenagers and college students cope with Crohn’s disease.
I’m 20 and was diagnosed with crohn’s when i was 16, I was in and out of hospital for a while and when it flares up, it can be the most crippling pain, i’m on 6 tablets a day(pentasa), but heard from someone the alternative medicine route is the best, does anyone know anything about this?
i’m 22 and was diagnosed with crohns a year ago. at the time i was just about to start my honors year in history and i never imagined it would be so hard to handle. this year has been really rough, i have yet to complete my thesis and i am about to go back to a specialist because i appear to be relapsing. i can only hope it gets better cause i’m not sure if i can deal with another year like this one.
